Confronting Racial Hate: Standing Together for a Safer Future

The events of the past week in the UK have been horrifying and deeply concerning. For the past 7 years, You Be You has worked with primary-school-aged children to build their mental health and resilience, providing hope for their futures. The news from Southport of an attack on children in a place meant for joy, followed by subsequent racist and Islamophobic violence, has been deeply frightening.

As an adult, I am struggling with anxiety and concerns about my family's safety. For children, this time will also be incredibly confusing and scary. We will be sharing resources on our page to help you have conversations with young people, that enable them to have a dialogue with the grown-ups they trust the most.

Now is the time for us all to come together, support each other, and stand against hate. You Be You remains committed to working towards a future where everyone feels safe, valued, and heard. Together, we can create real change, especially for our youngest minds.
